SW1 is a resin-enhanced wax ribbon that sets new standards in wax technology. It has excellent print density with superior mechanical and smudge resistance, and its new back coating formula offers unparalleled print head protection – more than 10 times the industry standard. By combining the benefits of high performance and speed the SW1 exceeds standards even further by fulfilling the requirements of applications that would ordinarily need a more costly wax resin product.

Before a ribbon is certified by Toshiba it must first undergo stringent tests to ensure its continuity and reliability in the field. It is assessed on a variety of receiving materials, and at every speed and temperature combination. Only once this procedure is completed and deemed successful will the ribbon receive its certificate of approval.
